Hi PatronusMetanoia,

Currently, I am doing the stories in the order that I absolutely want to express them. I feel that the current story is too good for me to just wait 10 years before doing; who knows what maladies will happen in that time span.

Imagine your looking at a dog lying on its back. Suddenly the position of the shadow and the coat seem to make sense. Plus I think she's fixing something so is probably lying down to do it.

@Saye It probably is a machine translating; "animal" Common is probably only spoken within the animal vocal range and pitches, so Strelka's speech might be a translation of animal Common to whatever the human equivalent is (I'm reluctant to call it English).

This arc is so incredibly intriguing,and it has an amazing,imaginative sci-fi feel going on,never seen something like it before in the other arcs.

And only in nofna could a sparkle dog seem so interesting :p

Zach,Is there a particular reason you are doing the arcs in this misplaced-chronological order?The jump between technologies has never been more evident till now. Are you doing them like this for narrative purposes, or just as they seem more fitting for your specific motivation/skills/mood at the moment?

@Heyoka,

I think in the last panel the dog is on it's hind legs and we are looking down on it. those two limbs are the front legs. I assume those are her (him? its?) feet in the sixth panel, and I'm still trying to figure out the pose of the seventh. (my guess is Strelka is on his/her back, that is his/her left front leg in the foreground, his/her right arm in the air, reaching across the body to get up, a padded foot past that, and a bit of green fur from a tail to the right of that.)

also, I love those things on Strelka's paws. Are they like synthetic fingers to manipulate objects like a human? I think I see a thumb appendage on that paw ;)

Judging by the hair and the jacket I would say this dog likes the 80's.

I notice Strelka's speech bubble has a lightning-bolt tail. So it's a machine doing the talking?

Ahh, it isn't proper to refer to Strelka as an it! "Him" or "her." How de... humanizing of me?

Oh my! Wasn't expecting that. :D

I'm having a hard time figuring out how this dog is positioned. It's something about its jacket (?) that's throwing me off.

Awesome! More human-animal interaction!

Also, this strip made me wonder if, in the NofNA universe, humans have domesticated animals, for pets and beasts of burden. But I guess that they would have just domesticated animals not part of society. Which explains why Strelka could be dog-like, instead of a wolf.

And what language are they speaking?
