My interpretation of this scene is that the lighter colored lovebird's Couloir failed against the darker colored lovebird's snake style somehow. ...if these birds stick around, we're going to need some nicknames for them! |

ahh.. a followup. i actually found myself reading through certain previous pages backwards in an attempt to slow down how i processed everything and i got much out of it. a lot of double entendre which isnt always immediately apparent, at least not to someone like me. |

i like how even in still images zack makes everything appear to happen so fast. the pink dot appears separately from the panels as xx processes it but cant make sense of it, which displays a good sense of subconscious reflexes not being up to speed with this type of art. i get a feeling this is her purpose being here, learning to make sense of things fast. the subliminal themes in syconium have been truly wonderful. |

At first I didn't quite comprehend the snake in the facture panel, and thought the technique was called "COULOIR 2". I wonder if animals ever do make crappy sequels to their factures... |

Looks like lovebird's facture deforms the opponent with their gaze? It's very reminiscent of XX's weaponized blush, except more like a beam. The snake coming out of mid-illusion in the first panel is quite nice, too, and is a nice contrast to the sheer displays of force we've seen Sherry and Greenie do. |

FACTURE: COULOIR! A steep narrow gully on a mountain... hmmmm... Now I'm left wondering if it's a lovebird using a snake style or a snake using a loverbird or a mimicry style! |
