I don't disagree, but I do think him punishing her isn't the right thing to emphasize. |

@furrama yeah but all of this stems from the fact that he's punishing her for his injury, and her later unfaithfulness wrt the sex work. he made himself her manager, and then moved them into the brothel to get control over her. smoothie threatens that control, and he doesn't just blame smoothie. how dare xx/fig cheat on him again? (because she's clearly meant to be emotionally faithful to him, even though he never speaks to her.) and there's that side order of the fact that we've been told that mustelids don't do well if they're denied sexual release. refusing that to her is most definitely a punishment, even though it is also an attempt to force her to hurt smoothie. tl:dr; greenie wants total control, smoothie is threatening that control, greenie punishes xx/fig for stepping out of line by denying her something she needs in order to provoke her into attacking smoothie. |

It's not a punishment per say. He sees himself as helping to create her as she is now and the last page (E)XY was in really drove that home for me. The "our masterpiece" line. He wants (S)XY gone, he's an aberration to his world view and it gets under his skin. And he wants to do it in the most "creative" way possible. One that makes it her fault and not his. One that proves to the other XY that his concept of sex is greater. One that furthers his/her masterpiece. (Because in a warped way he thinks he's helping her reach her full potential. He's doing her a favor, see?) What shows more strength? Pulling strings and using the power of sex to make things happen or just telling a guy not to come back? Telling her anything about what's up doesn't serve this agenda. Telling her might even cause her to try extra hard to fight against her urges. So why tell her? |
