I FORGOT ABOUT KITTEN GRUEL BAT. That bat was hilarious!

68 . by: 54 July 1, 2017, 6:43 am

@Kaidona oh, i'd completely forgotten about that bat! and that reminded me that there was also the bat at the innovation exhibition near the beginning, with his delicious, nutritious kitten gruel :D
67 . by: July 1, 2017, 2:16 am

Y'all, I'm pretty sure she's riding a marten and the pissed off guy is a fisher.
66 . by: ItPierces July 1, 2017, 1:43 am

(1) stoat (2) some sort of vole or lemming, probably a Norway lemming (3) arctic fox (4) some sort of ground squirrel, though I'm under the impression that most ground squirrels that small are stripy chipmunks
65 . by: Witticaster July 1, 2017, 12:05 am

@kuu, luckily, a place called the Icelandic Phallological Museum exists for all our penis categorization needs. (Yes, it's a real place... we truly live in the best timeline)
64 . by: Kaidona June 30, 2017, 9:26 pm

so wikipedia has this handy-dandy list of mustelid species right in their article about them and you can go rifling through them to see if any of them look like these fellas here

I think I'd rather identify genders by secondary traits, thanks...
60 . by: kuu June 30, 2017, 7:24 pm

acctually there is a web site of animal penis, which could come in handy, but they seem to be short on some kinds, and would be hard if not having a macro camera for the tineyist of critter if one was making a indentifycation guide and it gets weird if it comes to saying to someone "that is not what a ___ penis looks like" if someone tried to draw one, then having to explain why you know what one would look like, without a "uh I'm a zoologist vet" or just "morbid curiosity" or "someone trolled me with a youtube video of a turtle, that is how I know what they look like"
59 . by: Furrama June 30, 2017, 7:22 pm

*blinks slowly*
58 . by: kuu June 30, 2017, 7:18 pm

i used to have a FA account. but stoped using it. one due to forgetting my log in, and one because some people stoped being intersting to spy on ( a forum i was on had a member who was 17 e-dating a 13 year old who said she would not stop, as well as not stop doing yiffy role play with them when they turn 18)

but it seems even in the furry community it's debatable if anthro dogs should have dog penis or human, or a blend.
57 . by: Furrama June 30, 2017, 6:57 pm

(Should we tell Kuu about FA?)
56 . by: kuu June 30, 2017, 5:57 pm

that would take a lot of research to give them accruate genitalia. and a good deal of makes have retractable penis and then one needs to study sheaths
maybe one day someone will make anatomically correct talking animal comics it just would look weird if they were sparkle dogs with anime hair
55 . by: Kaidona June 30, 2017, 4:07 pm

There was a bat in the web version of 10%+ as well. He was the one that talked about one of Keratin's gang being suspicious, and having a scent code full of vowels.

URL : http://kaidona.deviantart.com
54 . by: June 30, 2017, 3:53 pm

bluefan, there was a bat in the 10%+ addendum! he had a metanoia where he could flap his wings backwards, and nearby dialogue from the past would carry on the wind.
53 . by: June 30, 2017, 3:45 pm

I call that Zack has to start drawing genitals solely to identify these carnivores
52 . by: June 30, 2017, 3:38 pm

panel 3 looks like a marten to me?
51 . by: Furrama June 30, 2017, 3:32 pm

Could be another arctic fox. I'm pretty sure it's a canine, can't figure out which kind though.
50 . by: kuu June 30, 2017, 3:28 pm

Fossa have bigger tails, tyra thicker longer tails another wolverine, not a honey badger
49 . by: June 30, 2017, 3:11 pm

Hell naw that isn't a gray fox, look at those stumpy legs. Maybe a fossa?

Have there been any bats in the NofNA stories so far? Clearly this isn't a bat in panel 2 :P but I find myself curious...
47 . by: Furrama June 30, 2017, 2:51 pm

I think that stripe is a piece of grass. My bet is that it's a vole, but it's hard to tell.

Stoat, vole, gray fox, gray squirrel, (S)XY, fisher?
46 . by: Seven June 30, 2017, 9:53 am

The tail is way too small for a chipmunk, and the body is too compact and round.
45 . by: June 30, 2017, 9:24 am

Judging from the light side stripe edged in black, it's a chipmunk.
44 . by: June 30, 2017, 6:48 am

or even inter order mating
43 . by: kuu June 30, 2017, 6:48 am

is that a hamster or something in pannel #2? how common is inter-family sex?

Zach's Twitter says that the new page will be late tomorrow.
41 . by: Kai June 29, 2017, 1:25 pm

I don't think it would have made a difference if clients had a thing for older women, Green said Cherry was getting too many complains. She probably wasn't as spry as she used to be.
40 . by: Watcher June 29, 2017, 10:01 am

Chestnut got to leave, and Plum seems to have the ability to come and go as she wills. Cherry was banished for being too old (you'd think that with all the other kinks the clients have, at least ONE of them would have a "thing" for older women...).

Pomelo -- who knows? Maybe she really did manage to escape from the Labyrinth.

But not Fig -- she's trapped there, with no hope of escape. If she tries to leave, the vine they make her wear will strangle her. Now that she's not such a "hot" property anymore, I wish they'd consider letting her go, but I know better...

She's got to get out of that place.

(If it's the last thing she ever does *musical notes*...)

[I would link to that song by the Animals, but the filter won't let me. Oh well.]
39 . by: Furrama June 28, 2017, 4:12 pm

He's just horny.

(Badumtishhhh)
38 . by: June 28, 2017, 2:10 pm

Is Greenie the minotaur, or is he Minos? Acai is Daedalus, Smoothie is the princess who teaches Theseus how to find get out... Fig is the minotaur, XX is Theseus. Sherry can also be a minotaur. It's not a perfect analog, lol.
37 . by: Ñire June 28, 2017, 10:39 am

I'm so scared for XX and so eager to find out what happens next, at the same time.

Boy, I know it's gonna get ugly... really hope XX gets to kick both Greenie and Sherry's ass!I may be overreading into details, but I've seen that shade of pink in the eye before (the one Greenie has in the last pannel). Really hope the conflict that will undoubtely ensure, helps XX bring herself to a better place, phisically and spiritually.

In the other hand, I find the second pannel really funny for some reason. I love how much personality the clients show, even though they're one-off and we don't even see the faces in most of the cases.

36 . by: ItPierces June 28, 2017, 10:09 am

@35

That's something I noticed earlier. gXY's stripes are quite clearly horns on page 168, where he plays the role of the labyrinth symbol:

URL : http://www.theoi.com/Ther/Minotauros.html
35 . by: #34 June 28, 2017, 2:17 am

On an unrelated topic, Green's ear stripes kinda look like horns here. I mistook them as horns for a moment, hah.
34 . by: June 28, 2017, 2:15 am

I mean, the angry customer is right.. When you pay for a service you expect your money's worth. But he still sounds like an asshole lmao.
33 . by: June 28, 2017, 12:47 am

I've been expecting Greenie-on-Smoothie violence since Smoothie's reintoduction tbh... the Threat is Looming
32 . by: Kai June 28, 2017, 12:38 am

He's most definitely going to blame Smooth. I'll be truly surprised if he doesn't.
31 . by: June 27, 2017, 11:22 pm

I'm kinda wondering if maybe he'll blame this on Smoothie's influence instead of Fig herself.
30 . by: June 27, 2017, 7:47 pm

I do hope that they DO have a conversation, and it isn't just Greenie berating Fig and her taking it/feeling guilty. It'd be nice to see him called out on his behavior, although I know the response to that is inevitably anger or violence. And possibly him siccing Sherry on her. Though I imagine even if he doesn't, she'll take it upon herself to confront Fig.
29 . by: Seven June 27, 2017, 6:54 pm

Oops, hope Greenie doesn't think someone else got their face eaten.
28 . by: Furrama June 27, 2017, 6:27 pm

I guess technically this would be her second complaint wouldn't it? And You-Know-Who had to go talk to her back then so....

I've really wanted them to have "the conversation" for what feels like a billion pages now, please don't tease me any more Zach.
27 . by: Juna June 27, 2017, 5:55 pm

I do like the RG and XX's conversations. He's showing some definite concern, and while he doesn't stray too far from his job he does what he can to make XX's life easier. It makes me wanna see where he ends up once XX achieves her masterpiece.
26 . by: June 27, 2017, 5:14 pm

ALSO on page 106 I just noticed the giant "neon" fig leaf sign in the entrance, classy.
25 . by: June 27, 2017, 5:12 pm

Greenie is also smudging out Apple's name on page 106 so that symbol is definitely Fig's name.
24 . by: June 27, 2017, 5:11 pm

If you look at the wall on page 106 it has a bunch of wooden pegs in it that the slip is probably hanging from.
23 . by: Kaidona June 27, 2017, 5:08 pm

Why yes, I do believe panel 5 is Smoothie.

And it does look like that's a slip in the last two panels. The vice director may have hung it on the wall from a mounting point we can't see.

URL : http://kaidona.deviantart.com
22 . by: Furrama June 27, 2017, 5:04 pm

Maybe he is.
21 . by: June 27, 2017, 4:54 pm

That one whisker on top of Greenie's head is really funny to me because it makes him look like the Reddit alien
20 . by: Furrama June 27, 2017, 4:34 pm

Oh, is it supposed to be a slip on the wall? That panel second to last is really confusing. It doesn't look attached to anything. But I understand the last panel better now.
19 . by: June 27, 2017, 3:42 pm

Complaining guy has one of those trash bag capes, that's funny. They seem to attract a certain type of personality, lol.

Maybe the green cloth symbolizes a complaint by the writing (a name?) Greenie seems to be reacting negatively to the cloth being there, and maybe the symbol is Fig's name. Although, I think we see Fig's name (and other things) written on page 107 and it's not the same symbols, or at least not the right order? Hard to tell.
18 . by: Furrama June 27, 2017, 3:24 pm

I don't know what the yellow/green thing is either.
17 . by: Seven June 27, 2017, 2:58 pm

I think the other wall we saw was the courtesans' schedule/clients list, this one could be where the complaints are logged.

Poor Fig's gonna get yelled at...
16 . by: Dani June 27, 2017, 2:17 pm

Hey, could someone help me understand what we are seeing in the second-last panel? Is this a book-keeping sort of wall? Do the colors have meaning that we know of?

Poor XX. She is moving in the right direction I think, but I have a feeling things are going to get worse before they can get better.
15 . by: Furrama June 27, 2017, 1:02 pm

@Witticaster Fig might be afraid to USE that side of herself. So, she'd be repressing EVERYTHING. Hence the emptiness.

Now she gets to brush up with the idea that if she don't work, she die. Before it was 'easy'. Now, without inspiration, it gets hard.
14 . by: camila sc June 27, 2017, 10:29 am

#13: Very likely... it looks like Fig and Smoothie in a "classic armchair analysis" set up. Plus the fifth panel is composed as a counterpoint to the previous four (that feature clients).
13 . by: Seven June 27, 2017, 9:13 am

Is that Smoothie in panel five, though. Assuming he's noticed the change in Fig?
12 . by: Witticaster June 27, 2017, 8:41 am

Ah... so mirror Fig DID leave? Taking her passion with her. I'm guessing in order to show up later and crow, "Look, you can't even do your job without me! Without me you're useless!"
11 . by: Silkworm June 27, 2017, 7:21 am

Sex isn't the infinite resource Greenie thought it was.

What's the point if the courtesan isn't into it too? Their body might be there and capable of performing, their clients could even potentially use them anyways, but that's not the real draw. It's that they're 'into it' and, by extension, into the client. Its more than the positive physical feeling of sex or else masturbation would be enough and far cheaper. No, it's the power, the sense of desirability that the client is able to take away too, that has the real draw.

Greenie's gonna be pissed though.

Even though RG has been relatively neutral with how he interacts with Fig, I do get the feeling he cares but is tempered by his job and role as her 'guard'. Or maybe he's still trying to figure her out in terms that make sense to him and his perspective as a bird. Still, I think that when push comes to shove he'll step up for her and do what he can to help, even if it's againt his interests as a brothel guard.
10 . by: June 27, 2017, 5:54 am

We've seen Smoothie naked before, he has a bigger tail and no marking on his back. It's probably just another stoat.
9 . by: June 27, 2017, 5:44 am

Did... Smooth just "get naked" for her in panel 1
8 . by: larkspear June 27, 2017, 4:57 am

I just realized... XX owns a mirror when she lived here with her mother (visible on page 5, during her epiphany). Is it the same mirror?
7 . by: Crescent June 27, 2017, 4:49 am

If Green threatens Fig, I'm gonna lose my shit.
6 . by: June 27, 2017, 1:47 am

@Tenka The mice that guide patrons through the labyrinth.
5 . by: Tenka June 27, 2017, 1:26 am

His mouse? His seeing eye mouse? The first four lax in all different jobs frames are wonderful. I would like to see how Fig plays on her good days with blind clients.
4 . by: Kanya June 27, 2017, 12:37 am
