The title is Corrosion. So the transition from the last panel on the last page to this one was quite fitting.

She's decaying, being erased... the last two panels in particular are chilling.

I believe that mirrors, canvases, and the general process of abstraction are all symbols that stand for the same thing...and each other. Think of them as synonyms with different implications and whose individual meanings may change with context. So, the mirror as canvas... You can talk freely about either.

While true (it's in the same place n indeed is rigid), I think the mirror being totally blank white is highly suggestive, and merits the comparison.
