Fig has stolen XX's colour and depth, but it's hard to show a white character as having done such a thing, so she was drawn with pearlescent rainbow refractions and environmental blues of the caverns in her fur. Purple has more and more become her essence colour though, so when reduced for simplicity's sake or when she's making her essence starkly known, she turns more and more contrastingly purple compared to XX to illustrate the difference between them. At least, that's what I think. |

It's funny, because Smoothie is clearly baffled by whatever XX is doing, but is trying to recover and do the therapist thing regardless. It comes off sort of naive, because he doesn't understand what she's reacting to and is just turning to generic stock advice. @jen holy crap I can't tell you how much that made me laugh, HILARIOUS |

Mirror!Fig used to also be illustrated with more detail in her fur and other features. I wonder if that has to do with the features of the dark side of the moon being harder to make out than the lit side? |

#12, I don't think we're seeing it from his line of sight. It's just implied that he's leaning in towards her. The position and proportion of it wouldn't make sense to be on XX's back. I think there may something to it being in the frame though. Fig has gone full purple now. I wonder if screaming is going to wind up being Smoothie's 'thing' that makes him snap.. |
